As more employers make Roth 401(k)s
available in addition to the pretax "traditional" version—and anyone up to certain income
limits can choose between traditional and Roth IRAs—the question
arises: Is it better to pay the taxes now and get tax-free growth in the future
(with a Roth), or take the tax deduction now even if it means paying taxes
later with a traditional 401(k).
